What is Powered by Me?

Why am I fundraising?


I won't be getting any form of public or private transport for an entire year, so I'm hoping this is a good excuse to raise money for some vital causes as a result. Every month I'll fundraise for a different charity. 

Who am I fundraising for during month 2?


Month 2 - February 2017, I'll be fundraising for City Harvest London. So much unwanted food goes to waste across our city and beyond. City Harvest puts that surplus food to good use in a sustainable way, by distributing it to organisations that feed the hungry, providing meals to vulnerable people. They distribute 5 tonnes of food weekly in London and if City Harvest London didn't exist, those 5 tonnes would be thrown away aswaste, or left to rot. City Harvest London were a finalist at the edie sustainability leaders Awards 2017. 

£50 delivers 200 nutritious meals
£100 feeds a family of 4 for a month
£250 provides breakfast to 1,000 disadvantaged children
£500 serves dinner to 2,000 youths at risk
