Story
On the 28th September 4 (not particularly fit & healthy) members of the DAF UK Parts team will attempt to complete the Lake Ballaton cycle challenge in Hungary, also known as the Tour de Pelso, to raise money for the Leyland Trucks Helping Hand charity. This consists of a total cycling distance of 201km with an ascent of 965 metres and we aim to complete it in 1 day!
The UK team consists of myself, Warren Cliffe, Mark Harmon and Paul Cook and we will be joined by our DAF European colleagues Jan Damen, Manel Chacon, Anne Bressers, Rudy Bressers, Jeroen Gielen, Ronald van de Meerakker, Daniel Heller, David Kiss and other colleagues from DAF/Paccar Parts in Hungary
The Leyland Trucks Helping Hands Charity distributes monies to various worthy causes. In recent years this has included the Rosemere Cancer Foundation, St Catherine's Hospice, Derian House Childrens Hospice, North West Air Ambulance and 26 other causes including the support of a guide dog training programme..
Please sponsor us and help to support this great charity..
Thank you...
