Story
Sat Nam. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I started the couch to 5K's running programme a few weeks ago and when I reached 5 K, I decided to continue and start a 10 K Running Programme. When running this morning I realised it would be wonderful if my goal of running 10K could somehow be of service. So I have set up this fundraising page and any money that can be raised for the Guru Ram Das Project will be gratefully received and used to serve many people in need. Guru Ram Das Project is a UK based Charity set-up with the primary aim of improving the mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing of the community.Your donation will help bring:
- Kundalini Yoga & Meditation Outreach Classes to People in Need:
- People recovering from alcohol & drug addiction
- Those in prison
- The homeless
- Over 50’s and the elderly
- HIV/AIDS sufferers and carers
- Women trafficked into prostitution
- Young adults with behavioural health & learning difficulties
- Mental health in-patients & women recovering from domestic violence
-building healthy communities to advance the education of the public in good, healthy and balanced lifestyle based on the highest standards of personal conduct and service to others, so individuals may empower themselves and inspire others to participate in their communities and lead fulfilling lives.
-to advance the education of the public through improving opportunities for learning about Sikh Dharma, strengthening relations with the Sikh community through inter faith work, supporting shared spaces for exchange and social interaction and encouraging harmony across communities.
