Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Solicitors, paddles at the ready! It's BACK! The Dragon boat race returns to Ipswich, and it's bigger than ever.

On Saturday, 11th June, Prettys will be taking eleven team members down to the Ipswich waterfront to compete and raise money for our charity of the year, Fresh start - New Beginnings. The charity is hosting the competition for the third time after COVID, sadly postponing the event in 2020 and 2021.

Prettys team members taking part in the race include; Dan Billson, Louise Plant, Aimee Riley, Hendrik Van Helvert, Grace Ambrose, Siân Llewelyn, Jamie Mattocks, Laura Parker, Liam Hendry, Myriam Naoual, Marisa Murray and Ellie Claffey.

The team will also be wearing Hawaiian fancy dress on the day to get into the fun spirit of the day and drum up donations. So please, join us on the quay for all the festivities and cheer on team Prettys in the dragon boat race. All donations will encourage the team to paddle faster!

What does Fresh Start - New Beginnings do?

Fresh Start New Beginnings, which also has its head office in Ipswich, provides therapeutic services across Suffolk and Norfolk for children and teenagers under 18 who have reported being sexually abused. Providing appropriate and effective support to each young person costs around £2,500, and the charity is therefore very keen to enlist the support of as many local businesses as possible.
