Born Survivor · 12 May 2018

We are a charity which provides high quality performing arts training and experiences for young people which is based on ability not the ability to pay. We give them the best possible chances of success and support for progression into the industry including scholarship to train in USA & London

Story

On May 12th, 2018, a 50-strong team of us from across the city will be coming together to raise much needed funds for a fantastic local charity, The Rare Trust.

Our challenge: Born Survivor.

To raise donations for the brilliantly talented young people that Rare supports, we’ll be taking part in this monster obstacle course. Imagine a 10km stretch to wear us out, seriously strenuous obstacles in our way and a whole load of mud!

Help us help the next generation of talent in Liverpool by getting behind us and sponsoring our fundraiser. Every penny will go towards giving young local dancers, actors and musicians the best possible opportunities in starting their careers. Plus, a few quid donated will be worth it to see us all covered in mud and exhausted!

About the charity:

The Rare Trust is a registered performing arts charity based in Liverpool. We work hard to give our talented and hardworking students access to world-class training regardless of the personal financial circumstances that they may find themselves in.

Rare is training and guiding some of the city’s most incredible young people in dance, musical theatre, acting and singing – helping them go onto the best college’s around the world and most importantly careers in industry.

We offer our students once in a lifetime opportunities which give them the chance to achieve their dreams of progressing in the performing arts industry. Opportunities that for many are beyond their reach. We also aim to remove boundaries to accessing training and education through having a fair fee structure and a support system which includes counsellors, physiotherapists and financial support.

Alongside our incredible team of staff, our trustees are specialists in their field and offer a range of skills, advice and overall support to Rare.

We are fundraising to increase our scholarship fund and hardship support packages, helping provide life-changing support to more young people than ever before.
