Who is running?

Rob Holden - countyside manager

Katy and Adrian Smith - visitor experience manager, and husband

Rachel Beaumont and Owen King - senior visitor experience officer, and partner

Tabi Collins and Will Ganley - ranger/gardener, and partner

Peter Downing - volunteer gardener

Rebecca Burton - Regional director for the National Trust in the South West

Tom Flemons - local Bath resident and keen runner, who was involved in some of the early conservation work at Prior Park in the 1990s.

Our running team range from the experienced regular runner to the enthusiastic parkrunner (weekly 5km). We are all training hard and have scheduled in some team training runs. We will be posting updates on this page as the training progresses.

Why are we running

We have set ourselves this challenge to support fundraising for the Prior Park dams appeal.

Since the National Trust started caring for Prior Park back in 1993, the aim has been to restore the garden to it's 1764 splendor at the time of creator Ralph Allen's death. The next project in the continuing restoration of the garden will be around the historic dams at the lower end of the garden. Time has taken it's toll since these Georgian structures were built in the mid 1700s, and the dams now need major and expert attention.
