We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

In establishing the inaugural international Women's American Football tournament - the Lions' Pro-Cloud Transatlantic Trophy, taking place between 31/08 and 02/09 at the University of Birmingham - the team thought it important to use the occasion to not just drive awareness of their own event but to support a hugely important and significant part of the city's landscape, The Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.

Offering the very best specialist care for sick children, since 1862, the Lions have chosen to share 50% of the proceeds raised from their tournament weekend with the Hospital and, in particular, their Critical Journeys Appeal: an appeal launched in 2017 which aims to raise £2 million to improve the service provided by four Critical Care Ambulances, providing them with the latest life-saving technology and improved training and support equipment.

Funds collected through this JustGiving page are donated ENTIRELY and DIRECTLY to BCH so do please give generously.

Thank you!

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
