The Salford Dragon Boat Festival 2015 · 31 May 2015

Mustard Tree combats poverty and prevents homelessness across Greater Manchester. We provide a foundation of food, clothing, furniture, support work and community, alongside courses, classes and accredited training. All in the same space. We now do this for over 10,000 people a month.

Story

Procure Plus takes to the water on 31st May to support a local charity The Mustard Tree at the Salford Dragon Boat Festival 2015.  Last year this event raised in excess of £20,000 for local charities which directly support our community.

The Mustard Tree exists to provide opportunities for the homeless and marginalised. On average they support 4,500 people a year, operating crisis intervention; offering, food, clothing and furniture as well as sustainable support and development; bringing with it freedom from poverty and dignity.  The UK has an astonishing number of adults and children who are both homeless and living in conditions which are overcrowded, dangerous and exasperate health issues.

We believe that this charity is critical to our community, so once again our staff are out to challenge themselves to raise much needed funds for The Mustard Tree.  To find out more....please visit: http://mustardtree.co.uk/
