Story
I have taken on the Chancellor’s Challenge to raise funds to support Integrative Health research at Western Sydney University.
Western Sydney University researchers are working alongside medical and healthcare professionals at hospitals in NSW, to explore scientific evidence that proves the effectiveness, safety, and potential mechanisms for the integration of Chinese medicine and better outcome of cancer survivorship.
The Chinese Medicine Centre is an international partnership between Western Sydney University and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine.
As a member of Team Vice-Chancellor, our goal is to support the students, researchers, clinicians, and educators in the Chinese Medicine Centre and NICM Health Research Institute as they pioneer a way to the future of cancer care.
今年西悉尼大学的捐赠日活动，已经如火如荼的拉开了序幕。其中募款的主要方向是由西悉尼大学校长葛班尼教授带领支持的中医药与西医的整合健康医疗发展。这个是一个非常明确、定向支持中医药在澳大利亚发展并迈向和西医结合具有伟大且深远意义的项目。所得捐赠将支持大学在中医药的临床科研项目，教学，社区服务，专业培训，和门诊服务等五大方向。西悉尼大学与中国第一流的北京中医药大学在悉尼共同建立的中澳中医中心，做出了大量的工作，也开始有显著的成果。例如中医中心与新州最大的公立利物浦医院建立了南半球中西结合肿瘤研究联盟开展一系列临床科研活动。我们有信心在澳大利亚引领中医的教育科研和社区活动旗舰作用。西悉尼大学针对为中医药在澳洲发展的远景是非常令人振奋的。我相信在澳洲及海内外的华人也和我们一样能够体会到西悉尼大学在中医药发源地以外的澳大利亚大力推崇支持与中华文化传统相关的中医药活动的用心。我身为目前在澳洲的大学里领导职务最高的华人，竭诚的诚邀各位，慷慨解囊、共襄盛举，透过西悉尼大学募款日的活动，和我们一起共同筑建中医药在澳大利亚的远大目标，为人类健康服务！
