<p><b id="docs-internal-guid-55bf628d-7fff-1233-7c04-7e13f075b910" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"></b></p><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Project Luangwa is a UK registered charity that has been working since 2010 to empower the communities of South Luangwa valley in Zambia to raise rural areas out of poverty by improving standards of health and education for local children and young people. </span><span>With the generosity of donors worldwide, Project Luangwa has:</span></p><ul><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Construction of 14 schools with continuing support for over 4,500 children in education each year. </span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);text-align: left;background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);float: none;">Improving educational impact through four ‘Edulution’ mathematics centres by providing higher standards of numeracy to 1200 pupils. </span><br/></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Supporting thousands of young women through its menstrual hygiene programme, providing safe, clean and washable sanitary products and education. </span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Carrying out a wide reaching sponsorship programme, providing over 140 young people with secondary education and over 50 students with tertiary education, every year.</span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Breaking down barriers of inequality through the delivery of 20 gender support clubs across five chiefdoms to inspire, support and empower hundreds of young men and women. </span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Continuing to support vulnerable artisans with a living wage with all additional proceeds from the shop go back into other projects. </span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Working to improve health, conservation and habitat protection by bringing safe, clean eco-stoves to thousands of households. </span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Delivery of the Digilearn project, which provides exciting and intuitive digital education to disadvantaged rural children. </span></p></li><li dir="ltr" style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;"><p dir="ltr"><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);background-color: transparent;">Delivery of a Foundation Programme for School Leavers, focusing on English, IT and Life skills (such as organisational skills and financial planning) to better prepare school leavers for employment and/or University or college.</span></p></li></ul><p>With your help we can help to lower the barriers of inequality, and support education in the poorest areas of Zambia. </p>
