Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Starting on 23rd August 2019, Team Proper Adventure are taking on the challenge of cycling the North Coast 500 in 5 days to raise funds for Marie Curie.

The riders:

Paul Brett, Lewis Thompson and Christina Gaiger

The route:

The North Coast 500 takes in 500 miles of incredible scenery and roads. The route begins and ends in Inverness and follows the roads along the coastal edges of the North Highlands of Scotland. Taking in the regions of Wester Ross, Sutherland, Caithness, Easter Ross, the Black Isle and Inverness-shire.

We will climb the Bealach na Ba on Day 1, boasting the steepest ascent of any road in the UK with gradients that approach 20% and rising from sea level to over 600 metres. The pain will be real!

We will then continue north passing the famous views and sights of the iconic touring route.

As some of you may know the Marie Curie have cared and looked after our founder and editor Paul's Dad, Norman in his continued battle with cancer. We would very much appreciate your support in giving something back to this amazing charity and giving us the boost we will need to complete this epic challenge.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks so much from everyone at Proper Adventure and Marie Curie.
