The Caldey Island Swim
Prostate Cymru is raising money for Prostate Cymru
Story
I am going to be swimming 8 miles around Caldey Island and back to the iconic Castle Beach. In order to complete the challenge I will be swimming 3 miles out from Tenby, 2 miles round the back of the island and 3 miles back to shore, starting and finishing at Castle Beach which overlooks the Fort.
I, like many men, have had Prostate Cancer. After having an operation in February 2021 at The Heath, under surgeon Matthew Jeffries, I was back in work within 6 weeks. Thank god my wife forced me to visit the GP because of constant urinary tract infection as it quite possibly saved my life.
I am completing this swim to help raise both funds and awareness for an amazing charity, Prostate Cymru!
