Story

On Sunday 11th October 2026, I’ll be taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon, running 13.1 miles to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in October 2025, aged just 37, and underwent robotic radical prostatectomy in March this year.

There is a family history of prostate cancer — my Dad, among others, was diagnosed at just 49 — but I was still shocked to receive the diagnosis at 37. I also had none of the typical symptoms associated with the disease.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and Prostate Cancer UK does incredible work funding lifesaving research and supporting men and their families through what can be an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.

I’m running this half marathon to help support that work and raise awareness. Every donation, however big or small, can help fund research, improve treatment and ultimately save lives.

If you’re able to donate, I’d be really grateful.

Thank you for your support.
