Story

Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be taking on the longest zip wire in Europe and the fastest in the world (I am quite excited as well as terrified). All funds raised will go directly to Muslim Hands and towards providing bread to Yemen.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ’The best of men are the men of Yemen, belief is Yemeni and I am Yemeni…’ [Ahmad].

Yemen remains one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises. There are around 20 million people in need of humanitarian assistance to survive; this includes 11 million children.

Yemen is getting worse day by day because of the ongoing conflict which has caused the collapse of institutions providing healthcare, water, sanitation, and education. Covid-19 is also spreading rapidly. Oxfam has reported that Yemen is battling the third wave of COVID, threatening 99% of the population who are unvaccinated. Yemen’s Oxfam director states that “Yemen has one of the highest COVID fatality rates in the world – it simply can’t cope with this virus”

-    People are weak because they can’t afford to feed themselves or buy medicine
-    Due to the ongoing fuel crisis, people are unable to afford transportation to a medical centre.

The UN estimates that 130 children under the age of 5 die each day from hunger and disease in Yemen.

Muslim Hands have established three bread factories in Yemen– in North Eden, South Eden and Ma’rib. They are hoping to launch two more factories in Ta’iz and Seiyun. By donating to my Just Giving page, you will be helping the people of Yemen.

£50 – feeds 700 people (produces 1,400 loaves of bread)
£100 – feeds 1,400 people (produces 2,800 loaves of bread)
£250 – feeds 3,500 people (produces 7,000 loaves of bread)
£500 – feeds 7,000 people (produces 14,000 loaves of bread)
£1,000 – feeds 14,000 people (produces 28,000 loaves of bread)

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ‘The best of you are those who feed others’. [Ahmad]

Please donate, no matter what the amount. Even a small amount goes a long way. Together, we can help combat the growing hunger and famine in Yemen.
