Jesuit Missions is the international development and mission office of the Jesuits in Britain. For over 50 years it has supported vulnerable communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Proyecto Vida Website and supporting our work.

The work being carried out by the staff at Proyecto Vida is essential in a country where almost 40% of the population live on less than a dollar a day.

Since its opening, Project Life has dealt with over 1000 people, 60% of whom have been males. Currently it is treating 23 children under the age of five who are living with HIV. Of the remainder, 90% are between the ages of 15 and 44 years. The aim now is to build a hospice for the terminally ill to live out their final days in dignity. With local and international donations already £20,000 has been raised to build the hospice on donated land.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate. Jesuit Missions will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. The funds will then be immediately transfered to Guatemala.

Please support our appeal.
