I will be competing  in the SPORTPURSUIT SLATEMAN10 2022 Triathlon.

I was originally due to compete in the 2022 event but due to the COVID-19 pandemic it has been postponed 2 years in a row.

However rather than give up I have carried on training and pandemic allowing will be competing in my first triathlon on June 12th 2022 in Llanberis.

The process of training has been transformative and life changing .

In that spirit I have decided to dedicate this triathlon to a charity that makes transformative and life changing experiences its mission.

The Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a non-profit and educational organisation that develops medical, legal and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful use of Psychedelics and Marijuana.

Founded in 1986 their research has been changing lives and will continue to do so.

Most recently in May 2021 a phase 3 clinical trial for MDMA-assisted therapy for severe PTSD was completed and published.

In this study 67% of the participants in the MDMA group no longer met the diagnostic criteria for PTSD by the end of the 18 week study.

67%!
