Story
Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. It means so much that you have come this far...little Miss Harker is so excited to be donating her hair to help another child. Since its her hair and her idea I thought it best you hear it from her:
"Hi. My name is Esme Grace and I'm 8 years old.
I want to donate my hair to children without their own hair. Seeing my sister and friend do the same thing has made me want to donate it.
I know that some children have to have medicine that makes all their hair fall out or they have diseases that means their hair doesn’t grow. I hope my hair will make someone feel happy.
I'd like to raise £500 to send to Little Princess Trust to help them make wigs for poorly children, so please can you sponsor me?"
Thanks so much for reading - this is a bit of blurb from the Little Princess Trust website just for your info:
The real hair wigs we provide are free to the children we help. If we supply a wig made from hair donated by people like you, our kind supporters, then this wig costs the charity absolutely nothing or possibly we pay a very small amount for it. If a suitable donated-hair wig cannot be sourced, then we buy in the most appropriate wig for the boy or girl in question, as close as possible to their original hair. The cost to the charity to purchase one wig is on average between £350-£500. Absolutely any amount of fundraising that you can generate towards this cost will help us to continue to provide wigs to the boys and girls that need them.
Esme is going to be having all her hair cut off at the end of September.
We will make sure we get lots of photos and videos so please keep checking in for more updates!
Much love.
The Harkers xxx
