Alzheimer's Society

We are united to create a world without dementia.

Charity Registration No. 296645

Hi guys

Been hearing a few rumblings lately from various gym folks and there seems to be a fair bit of interest in taking part in a Tough Mudder event next year from my sister Kate Parkin, Emma Wade, Becky Croydon, Vicky Ellen Seville, Sara Hibberd and one or two others.

Vicky asked if we were going to do it for a charity and suggested the Alzheimer's Society as their cause is quite close to her heart at the moment so I figured why not get as many of us together as possible, build a big team, raise lots of money and have a great day out in the mud.

The closest one to us in Sheffield is the Yorkshire event in July next year so it gives us plenty of time to get organised, get t-shirts done, set up a just giving page etc.

At the moment I'm just trying to get an idea of numbers. If anyone is up for this please post 'Yes' or simply like this post.

I've done 3 Tough Mudders over the last couple of years and they're always a right laugh. You don't need to be super fit to do it. A bit of upper body strength does help but if you've a good team anyone can do it, fit or not.

The event itself costs about £90 to enter at the moment and the price increases as the event gets nearer but between now and July that works out at less than £15 a month. Disposable income for many of us and cash that you may usually spend on food, clothes or beer every month. Why not spend it on a fun event that you'll remember for years on and raise some cash for a good cause at the same time.

Website is: https://toughmudder.co.uk/events/2017-yorkshire if you fancy a look.

Let me know please guys. Cheers
