Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm Pete. 37, married with 3 children. In 2011 I was diagnosed with a high grade osteosarcoma, a primary bone cancer.

I'm supporting the Bone Cancer Research Trust as they are the only charity dedicated to finding a cure to Primary Bone Cancer. These include Adamantinoma, Ewings Sarcoma, Chordoma, Chondrosarcoma, Osteosarcoma, Ameloblastoma, Giant Cell tumor, and Angiosarcoma of the bone.

Registered in 2006 the Bone Cancer Research Trust are leading the way in research, information, awareness and support for primary bone cancer. Last year raising an incredible £1.4M

My aim is to take on the wheelchair racing world and raise awareness and support through marathons, half marathons 10ks and fun races. I've also been roped into doing a Tough Mudder next year 2020.

Training with Stockport Wheelchair Racing at the Woodbank Memorial Park Stockport at The Stockport Harriers Track with Rick Hoskins.

I will be posting training updates and race information on this page.

My race record to date is: Liverpool wig run 2018 5k fun run. Wilmslow festive 10k 53min. Manchester Marathon 2019 3hrs18min. Manchester 10k 44mins.

Many thanks for all your support and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
