Haileybury Society Sleep Out 2021 · 3 December 2021 ·
Old Haileyburians may remember me. I enjoyed 16 very happy years at Haileybury between 1988 and 2004, teaching Geography, running the Russell Dore Lower School and coaching soccer and athletics.
On Friday 3 December I am spending a night sleeping on the streets in a sleeping bag (alongside former colleagues and OHs) to raise funds to provide OH Rob Butt with a bionic arm - he was tragically paralysed from the neck down in a freak accident in 2018 - and to support the work of Restart Lives, a homeless charity in London of which, as it happens, I am also a trustee. It does remarkable but very difficult work.
Please consider sponsoring me to undertake this challenge. Your support would make a potentially miserable night so much more bearable! Better still, come and join me and a number of other Haileyburian stalwarts at this event - it would be great to catch up!
