He made it! It took him 5 hours and 11 minutes of which he says the last 10 miles were shear hell. His overriding emotion when he crossed the line was " at least I haven't humiliated myself"! When I collected him at Heathrow on Monday, he was understandably tired and a little stiff, complaining about pretty much every muscle, but by Tuesday he was back to his normal self, sitting in front of a computer!
