Story

Thank you for looking at our Just Giving Page!

We as a medical centre are taking part in the Great-Inflate-A-Race to raise money for the Yeovil Hospital Charity.

The Great-Inflate-A-Race is a 5km fun run on cross country terrain, with a inflatable obstacles, space hoppers and a rope net!

The money raised will go to different projects within Yeovil Hospital, for instance

  • £10 can fund a craft therapy pack for patients in their Oncology Unit, to be used by patients undergoing chemotherapy
  • £25 can fund a tea and cake round on a ward to help alleviate the feeling of loneliness for a patient
  • £40 can fund a visit from Lofty, the miniature American Shetland pony who comes to visit patients on the wards
  • £75 can fund a musician to visit the ward and stimulate memories for patients with dementia and provide a welcome distraction for patients
  • £100 can fund play equipment for the children on the paediatric ward
  • £500 can fund lifesaving equipment

10 members of Queen Camel Medical Centre will be taking part in the event including:

  • Linda Bickerton
  • Jackie Giles
  • Sarah Gordon
  • Emily Alden
  • Laura Vickery
  • Melissa Vincent
  • Tracy Ufnowski
