Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our hospital JustGiving page.

Our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) needs £32,000 to buy a transport incubator.

-  Premature babies get cold very quickly so a warm incubator is necessary to transfer them from the central delivery suite to NICU or to other departments.

-  Straight after birth, a few babies need help with their breathing. An incubator is required for a quick and safe transfer to a ventilator.

-  If a regional NICU is full or if a newborn requires care in a highly specialised unit, an incubator is vital for the ambulance transfer to another hospital.
