Each year the team at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics in Pencoed embark on a challenge to somehow get to Tenby by either riding or walking. This challenge is designed to test all those that take part but at the same time enjoy a day out with colleagues whilst raising money for a very worthwhile charity. This past year has been extremely difficult for us all in terms of socialising and social distancing due to the COVID 19 Pandemic. Many charities in particular have been extremely hard hit by a lack of fundraising, and the team at OCD are acutely aware in this respect. The COVID Pandemic led to the cancellation of PENTEN 2020, both the bike ride and the highly successful walk. Therefore PENTEN 2021 is being resurrected with the aim of raising as much money as possible for this worthy cause. The ride / Walk will take place on the 9th October 2021 and will follow the successful criteria used for the past number of years ie Ride from Pencoed and walk from Laugharne to Tenby, All proceeds from the challenge is donated to the British Heart foundation in memory of some of our past friends. During the period leading up to the event the organising team will actively review legislation and guidelines and will amend practises as required.
