Story
Queen Mary Arab Society has teamed up with Salam Charity to raise money for the Bangladesh Medina Village Appeal, which will comprise a mosque, shelter, academy, play area and community centre. It's designed to lift an entire community out of poverty through sustainable development.
We pledged to raise £1000 by end of 2019 towards this project and we wanted the money raised to go specifically to help build the first prayer spaces in the village.
Remember that donating to a Masjid, is an ongoing charity (Sadaqa Tu Jariya) which continues even after a person dies and his/her book of deeds are closed. Even if you spend one Pound towards a Masjid, InshaAllah that will count as an ongoing charity.
Every donation is appreciated and will be going directly to the charity.
