QRC 10 Everests Challenge · 27 April 2020

Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Like so many people at the moment members of Queensbury Running Club want to help those having a hard time during this difficult period. We also miss running together as a club - at races, on club nights and inbetween. We plan to run, as individuals or as households, and to
use our beloved hills that surround us to pull together and raise some
much needed funds for the devastating impact of Coronavirus. So, the
challenge is for each and every member's run elevation during May, to
collectively reach the equivalent of 10 x Everest! That's 'only'
290,290ft/88,480  meters......we can do this!

We choose to raise funds for Manorlands, a local Sue Ryder hospice. Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
