Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
On Saturday 23rd August 2008 Mike Spiro, Mark Lambert, Matt Prime and David Cox set off from a bright yet very cold John o'Groats, heading for Lands End on a Quad-Tandem. This had never been attempted before. We endured multiple mechanical problems and the worst of the British weather en-route, covering 902 miles in all. We arrived in Lands End on 4th September at 14.30 having cycled for 12 gruelling days.
We, as four doctors, did this event for the British Lung Foundation which we believe to be a very worthy cause, offering support, information and funding research for those suffering with lung diseases. We have attempt to get extensive media coverage as well as attending a wonderful 'road show' in Bristol in conjunction with the BLF. It was fantastic for us to meet with patients for whom we are really doing this event and were impressed by the turn out and reception we received.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: British Lung Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Please see our blog form more information about the trip. You can link to it through The British Lung Foundation website (see link below).
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
