Story

RAG, Raise and Give, is the official fundrasing movement for Queens University Belfast Student Union. This year we are fundraising for Homeplus NI.

Homeplus is a voluntary organisation set up to meet the immediate accommodation and support needs of vulnerable homeless people and people who are sleeping rough. This includes Migrant Workers, Refugees and Asylum Seekers as well as people from the local community who can be suffering from issues such as illness, mental health problems and addiction. In the 18-35 year old bracket alone, there has been a dramatic increase over the last few years of foreign nationals who are becoming destitute after losing their jobs and are ending up on the streets. We aim to help all groups break out of the spiral of homelessness, and get back on their feet.
