Queen Ethelburga's: Derwent House 2020-21 Charity: Help for Heroes

D House Charity Week for Help for Heroes · 4 February 2021
Help for Heroes is the leading Armed Forces & Veterans charity in the UK, supporting those who suffered an injury or illness during, or as a result of service, and their loved ones. Help for Heroes aims to empower those it supports to look beyond illness and injury, regain their purpose, reach their potential and have a positive impact on society.
Queen Ethelburga's is proud to support families of the Armed Forces. We welcome over 300 Y3-13 students from Armed Forces families to board with us each year and access excellent teaching and specialist wrap-around pastoral support. Therefore, with so many in our community connected to the Armed Forces, Help for Heroes was a very popular choice when students and staff voted for our house charities this year.
This year Derwent House, inspired by veteran and record-breaking fundraiser, Captain Sir Tom Moore, are raising awareness and fundraising for this meaningful charity by completing a variety of challenges:
We hope to capture our efforts on camera and nominate a friend/family member to also take part!
Please remember - children under the age of 18 using JustGiving services must do so under the direct supervision of an adult and always donate with the bill payer's permission.
Thank you for supporting the Derwent House for 2020-21: Help For Heroes.
