Walking with Captain Tom · 5 February 2021 ·
Practically everyone was touched by the remarkable story of Captain Tom Moore - the World War II veteran who rose to fame by walking 100 laps of his garden for his 100th birthday, to raise money for the NHS. He went on to raise record amounts of money, release a record-breaking single and be knighted by the Queen.
We were all heartbroken to hear of his death; but he left us inspired to continue his great works and keep his memory alive.
A group of Marstons pubs have gathered together with just that aim - to carry on his legacy and raise some much-needed funds for his foundation. Each pub will be undertaking different activities in the run up to his birthday on April 30th, so please see your local pub's Facebook page to see what they are up to - and how to get involved!
Please give what you can and help us remember the remarkable life of a true national hero!!
