La Grande Aventure Cycling Challenge · 11 September 2019 to 15 September 2019 ·
We’re about to ask you for money so brace yourself.
We’re 4 friends who’ve signed up to cycle from Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire to Ypres in Belgium for PACE.
Who are we? - We are Philippa, Collette, Fiona and Jane. We’re novice road riders so this will be quite a challenge for us. We’ve just started training and are taking it seriously but as you know us you’ll also know there is also a great deal of laughter and a “small amount” of alcohol involved. The latter helping with the pain of training.
Who is PACE? - PACE are a family-centred charity based in Aylesbury and they provide innovative education for children with sensory motor disorders such as cerebral palsy. They aim to unlock the potential of the children and give them the skills they need to become independent, opening up a world of communication, mobility, learning and achievement.
How can you help? - We’ll do the hard work of cycling the 200 miles. You simply need to press the “Donate Now” button and give what you can to support us “no-hopers”. We’re covering all our costs and so please be assured that everything you donate will go to the charity - more if you click the “Gift Aid” box.
We’re sure that between us we can raise a good chunk of money and contribute towards the £1.4m that PACE need every year to continue offering this life transforming support.
Remember, you can make an almighty difference to the children at PACE so any amount you want to donate, however big or small, will be a huge help and be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance, The Queens of Pain (also known as Philippa, Collette, Fiona & Jane)
