As someone with a chronic mental health condition, I know it can be really hard to just live day to day, sometimes. When you're in a particularly low place, it's easy to believe that nobody's willing to listen or try to understand.
Samaritans are people who *will* listen, and who are there to help people through rough times.
Mental health issues can be particularly difficult for LGBTQIA+ people, and that's why I'm joining folk from Pride @ Three to walk a marathon--26.2 miles--in July 2021. It'd be amazing if you could chip in a wee bit in support. More about Samaritans's work is below.
Samaritans know that life can sometimes be incredibly tough. Thanks to the dedication of more than 20,000 volunteers, Samaritans can be there for anyone, whatever they are going through and whenever they are struggling to cope. They are also at the heart of local communities, working with schools, workplaces, railways, prisons and hospitals to offer training and support, preventing suicide and helping people turn their lives around. Please sponsor me to take on Samarathon today. I’ll be racking up 26.2 miles over the course of July to raise vital funds for Samaritans. Samaritans’ life-saving work wouldn’t be possible without the amazing generosity of people like you supporting people like me. Thank you.
