Quilter Cycle Ride - How far can we go? · 3 July 2020

The Quilter Foundation was set up in 2017 to support the many thousands of young people in our communities who live with daily social and domestic challenges, helping them to overcome barriers to prosperity. We do this by funding projects that improve educational outcomes, employment prospects and health and wellbeing.

Story

To support The Quilter Foundation’s appeal to raise £10,000 for the Young Carers Campaign, Mark Satchel is going to be joined by  Quilter colleagues as we take on a virtual bike riding challenge with the aim of seeing how far we can cycle as a team over the course of a weekend.  This will obviously depend on how many people
cycle that weekend, and how far. 2,500kms will get us to Moscow…5,500kms will get us to New York…10,000kms will get us to Hong Kong or Cape Town…18,000kms will get us to Auckland!

Now more than ever, young carers need us to fundraise for vital support to help to maintain their own physical and mental health whilst caring for their family members. The coronavirus outbreak has created
new challenges for young carers, adding to their already stressful lives.

Funds raised for The Quilter Foundation will ensure that through charity partners, Carers Trust and Crossroads Care, young carers continue to receive crucial support from specialist support workers, as well as
access to small grants to help ease the pressures of financial concerns or secure funding for necessities.
