As most of you know by now, I’m this crazy person who seems to like running marathons! Having completed the last 2 London Marathons independently, I thought this time someone else should share my pain.  So, I’ve managed to convince the lovely Quin to join me in this challenge.

This year 410,000 people entered the public ballot and with only 17,000 public spaces available it is extremely hard to get a place, so Quin and I have both managed to secure a charity place on Team BDA and have pledged to raise £3000 between us.

 Who is the BDA?

The British Dyslexia Association is an amazing charity, whose aim to influence government and other institutions to promote a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people of all ages to reach their full potential.  With our roles within Empowering Tech and Scanning Pens, this seemed like the obvious cause for us to support and raise even more awareness for this brilliant charity.

For every £100 raised the BDA can support 13 people through their helpline, whether it’s parents, students, adults with dyslexia, teachers, employers and professionals who need information.

For every £350 raised that funds the training of a new volunteer to help run their helpline.
