Story
2020 has been a devastating year for so many people and businesses but amongst the hardest hit has been African Wildlife. Conservation work is so closely linked to income from tourism which has all but dried up this year and The Kasanka Trust has always depended on this source of funding to keep scouts in the field and vehicles moving around. I'd therefore like to ask you to donate some of the money you might have otherwise spent on a holiday this year to try and keep the Kasanka Trust funded to continue its vital work.
Every pound you donate through this appeal will go directly to the Kasanka Trust as well as a tax contribution from all UK taxpayers through the Gift Aid scheme. The funds will also be tallied for our team in the Elephant Charge event and we hope to be one of the lead fundraisers this year, so please dig deep!
The Kasanka Trust was established to conserve and protect the unique habitats and wildlife of the Kasanka National Park. The Trust entered in to a public-private partnership with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW) to manage Kasanka in 1989. The partnership was renewed in 2015 for another 15 years. The Trust is a not-for-profit company registered in Zambia. It is supported by Kasanka Trust UK and Stichting Kasanka Nederland, both of which have charitable status, focused on raising funds and awareness to help our work in Zambia.
