Hello! 

We are a group of 6 students at the University of Bath aiming to raise awareness and money for DeafPlus,  a fantastic charity who provides phenomenal support families and individuals who have hearing and sight difficulties. 

Our project is broken down into 2 key stages; Firstly a quiz night and raffle on the 26th November and secondly a campaign around cafes in Bath. The aim of the pub quiz and raffle is to raise money for Deafplus while informing the public what they can do to aid this cause as there will be a guest speaker on the night from Deafplus. Secondly, when people start to lose their sight or hearing, they start feeling more uncomfortable in social situations and some people reach the point where they do not want to leave their house anymore as they find it hard to interact in noisy public places. Therefore, we will be going round cafes in Bath to make them aware of little things they can do to make people hard of hearing / sight feel more at ease in their establishment. 

This disability is often overlooked in our society and we feel it is very important to raise awareness of this issue and your support would be greatly appreciated. We understand that many people will not be able to make it on the night of the quiz, but if you are able to donate even the smallest amount of money to our cause, it would make a world of a difference.
