QuizzleMania 28

QuizzleMania 28 · 17 February 2021
PartsFUNknown and QuizzleMania are proud to be hosting a charity stream in aid of Childline, a lifesaving NSPCC service.
In 2020, QuizzleMania helped to raise over $33,000 for UK charities, including NHS Charities Together, CALM and No Kid Hungry. In 2021, we want to raise even more for those who are having a hard time throughout this pandemic
WWE’s Call Out Bullying campaign, in association with the NSPCC, aims to highlight how bullying of all types, whether face-to-face or online, can have a negative impact on children and young people. The campaign also helps children to know what to do if they’re being bullied, urging young people affected by bullying to speak to a trusted adult or contact Childline anonymously.
Childline is a free, confidential service for children and young people to speak about whatever problems they’re facing, and counsellors are available online or on the phone every day of the year. Since the start of the pandemic, Childline has been a lifeline to so many young people who are feeling the pressure of social distancing.
Childline is here to listen and, most importantly, help young people work through their issues. It means they can give everyone who contacts them the confidence and belief that, whatever challenges they face, we can help them find a way forward.
It costs £4 for a trained volunteer counsellor to answer a child's call for help to Childline.
· £27 could pay for a Childline supervisor for one hour, supporting dozens of volunteer counsellors.
· £190 could pay for one Childline supervisor shift.
· £1,250 could pay to run Childline for an average of one hour.
· £1,600 could pay to recruit, train and support a new Childline volunteer.
· £30,000 could pay to run Childline for one day.
We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations, large or small. As a not for profit organisation, JustGiving can claim gift aid on behalf of Childline for any eligible donations, so please remember to tick the box for gift aid if you are a UK tax payer.
