Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This year on behalf of the Bradford Bulls Charity Foundation I am 'fronting' 10 events to celebrate the Foundations 10 year anniversary, called 'ROBBIES BIG 10'.
This skydive (from 15,000 feet) will be the freakiest of them all. I am really looking forward to it and must admit it has always been on my bucket list. During my years as a professional rugby player we had it in our contracts that we were not allowed to partake in such events due to the infamous 'dangerous sports clause', which basically meant we could do any fun activities like skiing, ice skating, skate boarding, surfing (not much surf in West Yorkshire) or sky diving etc. so outside of getting our heads bashed in weekly we lived a pretty boring life. So now I no longer have these restraints I am looking forward to throwing myself out of a perfectly good plane (actually I still do have a dangerous sports clause but its one my wife has put on me and to get around this she made me take out life insurance cover). So happily all bases are covered.
The Bulls Foundation and another big Bradford sports Charity 'One In A Million' have teamed up for this event which brings me great pride to be involved with them both and fund-raise on their behalf. Both have delivered fantastic support in and around the region for over 10 years including primary school assemblies, educating our next generation in healthy living and lifestyle management, through to working with young people from disenfranchised backgrounds and people with disabilities.
I am looking forward to the jump but as you can imagine I am also hesitant and nervous but would like to thank everyone who supports us with their donations. Every evening I will be thanking everyone publicly on my facebook and twitter pages, @RHunterPaul so please leave your '@tag' so I can tag you in to my 'thank you' directly. If you do not use twitter just leave your full name.
Thank you all again and as always - Enjoy your lives, Love your families and Live your rugby.
