John O'Groats to Land's End Cycle Ride · 23 July 2014

The JPK Project's aims and objectives are to provide a Residential Centre for people with a learning disability in Eastbourne. When established it will include 24 En Suite Bedsitting Rooms to allow for privacy and independence but will also include communal rooms for social interaction. It will also include practicial training and work experience and continued learning on site.

Story

From the 23rd July to 2nd August I will be cycling the whole length of Great Britain, nearly 900 miles, from John O'Groats in the Scottish Highlands to Land's End in Cornwall.

I'm raising money for the JPK project, a charity raising money to build housing accommodation for people with learning difficulties. The ride is being organised by two close friends whose sister, Jade, has down-syndrome. The hope is that one day Jade will be able to live a happy life in the accommodation built by the JPK project.

I have done no where near enough training but I am very much looking forward to the challenge. Any donation you are able to make will be going to an extremely good cause but it will also keep me going when things get tough on this mammoth ride.
