Rabbi Yuval's walk for Simon · 30 April 2017

North London Hospice supports more than 3,500 people with a life-limiting illness each year in the communities of Barnet, Enfield, and Haringey. Established in 1984, we are committed to empowering our patients through our vision which is to provide the best of life, at the end of life, for everyone.

Story

Simon Cooper was a young and vibrant member of Southgate Progressive Synagogue. He did not let Cystic Fibrosis stand in the way of achieving what he wanted from life and he lived life to the full. Three years ago Simon took the initiative and established the Friday Night Rock service. In his own dynamic and professional way he brought joy and spirituality to our community members and to neighbouring communities. Simon died in 2016, yet his memory lives on.

I am going to walk 100 kilometres in honour of Simon's memory along the Grand Union Canal from Bletchley to London Paddington. It will be over two days during the May bank Holiday 30 April-1 May 2017. You are welcome to support me by joining me for parts of the way, one of the days or the entire journey.

Please give generously to the North London Hospice who took care of Simon and so many others at the time that care really matters.

I will also be collecting for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust via the link below:
