Story
To raise awareness and funds for Ace Africa, our Patron André Villas-Boas, Olympique de Marseille Head Coach, is partnering with one of France’s most accomplished rally drivers Eric Camilli to compete in this year’s Monte Carlo Rally. With the support of Citroën Racing, André’s ‘Race For Good’ team will compete in the WRC2 category.
André has been a Patron of Ace Africa since 2013, an award-winning NGO that works in Kenya and in Tanzania. Ace Africa works with the community, government and local partners to improve health, education and economic development, helping people take control of their future. It is a small charity making a big impact, and has changed the lives 1.8 million children and their families so far.
Projects include a football programme helping the most disadvantaged and vulnerable children in rural Northern Tanzania. Poverty, early marriage and female genital mutilation are common challenges. So far an incredible 83 schools and 2,518 children have taken part, with huge improvements in school attendance, physical and mental health.
We train teachers as coaches and provide vital equipment – cones, footballs, goals, boots and shirts. Just 3,000 Euros can sponsor 40 children in one school to take part in the 2021 League.
Through this initiative we aim to support two schools to take part in this life changing league. Thank you for any support you can give towards this vital project.
