Story

The runners, walkers and slow-coaches of Team Olive are back! We are taking part in the ‘RBC Race for the Kids 2018’ at Hyde Park on Saturday 13th October.

The RBC Race for the Kids is Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s annual 5k family fun run.

We'll be taking part with thousands of other people to raise vital funds and transform young lives.

Why Great Ormond Street Hospital needs our help.
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is a place where seriously ill children from across the UK come for life-saving treatments. Every day, 618 patients arrive. Every day, doctors battle the most complex illnesses. Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs.

And every day is a chance for you to make a difference. This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support to give seriously ill children the best chance to fulfil their potential.

Visit gosh.org to find out more.

By sponsoring us, you’ll be helping Great Ormond Street Hospital to provide the very best care to seriously ill children.

The Olive Martin Brighter Future Fund
We setup the Olive Martin Brighter Future Fund in 2014 in memory of our daughter Olive who died of a very complex heart condition aged just 6 weeks. Thanks to amazing support from friends and family we've already raised over £37,264.

The fund has already bought a £9,000 TOE heart probe and £10,000 towards ground-breaking heart research. To support the major redevelopments at GOSH, we have allocated the rest of the Fund towards the creation of a new specialist cardiac unit dedicated to tackling heart failure in children. The new 14 bed unit (which is now open) will provide the foundations and infrastructure for world-leading experts to provide first class clinical care to children with heart failure and lead a pioneering programme of research focused on developing new and better devices that can buy children more time while waiting for a life-saving transplant.

Olive’s Fund is enabling GOSH make the improvements necessary at the hospital, so please support Team Olive (or even better, JOIN US below) and give generously.
