Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

One day an offer appeared inviting people at a discount price to jump out of a plane from dazzling hights with the promise that a parachute would pop out some way down and guide you to the ground.  Barry jumped at the chance, I came up with a million reasons not to but gave into peer pressure and then Dad joined in claiming he has always wanted to.  In my niavity I believed this would be a tandom affair but oh no we are taking the plunge individually under the static line method.

So here we are just over two weeks to the big day (3 April 2011) and thought it would be a great way to collect some money for a deserving charity.

I have chosen The Cystic Fibrosis Trust as my charity of choice as I have personal experience of it within my own and extended family.

Every small donation is much appreciated and as an incentive, if the £1,000 target is reached  before the big day I will ensure there is video evidence posted.

More details of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and what they do can be seen on the left hand panel of the screen.  This is a condition suffered by many children and adults with research at an advanced stage, the possibility of a cure may well be in sight.
