National 3 Peaks (sub 24hrs) Challenge · 17 May 2014 to 19 May 2014 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last November I lost a good friend of mine to cancer. I met Emma at Southfield School for Girls, where we were pupils. We stayed friends ever since, even though our lives took us on different journeys. We managed to stay in contact, we both attended each other's weddings, and shared in the joy and heart-ache of becoming mothers, to our children at similar times. Emma was always a chatty, fun loving, happy friend, who I adored sharing time with.
When she told me she had breast cancer, they had caught it early, she had the treatment, I felt sure she would be fine. Tragically it turned out that wasn't to be. It happened so suddenly, she passed away, leaving a devastated family, husband and three children.
So, I decided that I would like to complete a challenge, in memory of my friend. I chose the 3 peaks, partly because I am petrified of heights!, I know this is going to push me physcially and mentally, but I believe it will be worth it, and Emma will be looking down at me, saying what a mad fool I am!!
I am hoping to reach my fund-raising target of £650.00. If you could make a donation, I would be so grateful.
