Story
In 2020 Winnie and Ferdy’s grandma was diagnosed with an aggressive menigioma. Usually fairly benign the tumour had destroyed the front of her skull and was invading her brain space. After extensive surgery and half a year with a hole in her skulls she continues to require regular assessment and potentially further treatment.
In April this year Winnie and Ferdy’s a granddad was diagnosed with an untreatable glioblastoma. He’s receiving end of life care.
It costs £2750 a day to fund research for brain tumours.
This year we’ll be completing a challenge every month - hopefully one of them will inspire you to either join us in fundraising or to donate to our fundraising.
Our first challenge will be the Yorkshire 3 peaks at the end of August.
We’ll complete a new challenge every month.
