Swimathon 2020 · 27 March 2020 to 31 December 2020 ·

Cancer Research UK and Marie Curie are calling on the nation to get down to the pool for Swimathon 2020 - thousands of swimmers, two great causes, one big charity challenge.

Story

Mrs Davies was the most amazing teacher, especially for my son Archie who has ASD and ADHD. I have never met a more compassionate, patient, amazing, inspirational teacher as her. So Archie and I have decided to participate in this years swimathon in her memory, I will be swimming 2.5km and Archie will be swimming 400m, to raise as much money as we can for marie curie. We will be swimming on Saturday 28th March from 6pm at the white horse tennis and leisure centre, so please join us and cheer us on if you can xx

On the 27- 29 March, over 21,000 swimmers will be heading down to over 600 pools across the UK to raise money for our two amazing charity partners.

Cancer Research UK, the world’s leading cancer charity is dedicated to saving lives through funding research to help prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. Cancer Research UK are the only charity fighting over 200 cancer types but don't receive any government funding for their work, so their progress is all thanks to the support of people like you.

Marie Curie provides expert care, guidance and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Around 2,100 Marie Curie Nurses work day and night, in people’s homes all over the UK, providing hands-on care to people when they need it most.

Together we can really make a difference. We invite our swimmers to tell their story to help spread awareness and raise vital funds for these two incredible causes.
