Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

EMW are a small charity that carry out vital work to support equine welfare across the UK. In 2005, I met EMW Solo. He had been rescued from market by EMW-UK and had been re-homed in Worcestershire as a field-companion. When I first met him, I immediately fell in love with him. He was a little wary of people but we bonded quite quickly. I took over his loan and he accompanied me to Nottingham Vet School and got me through 5 years' gruelling training, whilst helping other students to learn equine anatomy and clinical examination. Over the years, he has become a fantastic companion to me and at the tender age of 25, he competed in his first hunter trial. He has won numerous Veteran showing classes and trophies and has transformed from a scruffy old man to a stunning 30 year old with plenty of life left in him.

Whilst at University, I did various low-key fundrasing events for EMW but have now decided to run my first ever half marathon. Please support me and EMW Solo (aka Fatty!) to enable many more horses to have the happy ending he has.
