We have been extremely lucky to both get places in The London Marathon in April 2018. We are therefore taking this opportunity to fundraise as much as possible for The Friends of Amani Tanzania, an amazing charity which supports children with disabilities in Morogoro, Tanzania.

As many of you know, we both visited the centre in September and were able to see first-hand the fantastic work Amani does. Children are provided with an education at the centre, children with disabilities are visited in their communities to have with vital therapy, families and communities are supported and educated on how to include children and youth with disabilities and young adults are taught key life skills such as farming and tailoring so that they can have a trade as they transition into adulthood. Thousands of children have been helped and continue to be helped by the Amani Centre and the services are all given for free by Amani so this work can only be done with donations and sponsorship and every penny counts.

Just £15.00 pays for the education, clothing, food and therapy for 1 child for an entire month. With 26 children who live at the main Amani Centre and more and more people reaching out to Amani for support, funds are required so that Amani does not have to ever turn anyone away.

We are both training hard to complete the marathon, in stead of lovely lie ins on the weekend, we're out trying to get through as many miles as we can manage.
