Rachel and Isla big chop

Rachel Armitage is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Rachel and Isla’s big chop! · 24 June 2023

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

In January 2020 I donated 9 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust, and last year I decided I would do so again but this time, will grow and then cut 12 inches.

I explained to Isla, my 7-year-old daughter, what I was doing and told her about The Little Princess Trust - a charity which provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions - and she announced that she wanted to do it as well! Isla loves her beautiful red hair and she said that she thinks poorly children would love to have the same hair colour as hers.

We’re both aiming to donate 12 inches of hair when we go for the big chop at Urban Fox Hair in Caythorpe, so any donations to this fantastic charity would be much appreciated.

The Little Princess Trust is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.
