In memory of Gavin Cawood
Story
Rachel and Sonia are walking a half marathon on 30th August in aid of Dorothy House ‘Hero Walk.’
The heroes we will be remembering and celebrating are Gavin Cawood, Sonia's husband and Rachel's Uncle who died in 2016 of melanoma cancer, and the woman who supported Sonia throughout the diagnosis and after Gavin died, Anne Montague of Dorothy House.
Rachel and Sonia both know that financially times are tight for a lot of people but, for instance £180 will pay for a night of hospice at home care providing support and comfort throughout the night. When Sonia and Gavin needed this to enable Gavin to stay in his own home with his family, they received this level of support for over two weeks.
Please give as much or as little as you can so that other families can receive the same kind of support that Sonia and her family received when they needed it the most.
